Ecopower CHP The Future of Energy Supply
will be to provide heat and power in both a cost efficient and environment-friendly manner, using the most sophisticated method of energy supply available: the Ecopower Micro-CHP. This innovative appliance introduces advanced technology to the future of energy production.

Principle
A Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit basically produces electrical power with a combustion engine. The heat, which is normally lost in vehicles, for example, is recovered from the generator, engine and exhaust system and can be used for local heating purposes.

Field of Application
The Ecopower Micro-CHP is particularly designed as a unique heating and power source for today's single and multi-family homes. It can also be used to service larger buildings and small industry by installing multiple units.

Engine
The engine is a result of a collective research project for the development of a long lasting gas engine for heat pumps and combined heat and power applications. The engine is designed for a TBO (time between overhaul) of 40,000 hours and a service interval of 4,000 hours.

Generator
The permanent magnet generator is liquid cooled and maintenance free.

Installation
The Ecopower Micro-CHP is delivered ready for installation.

Maintenance
The Ecopower Micro-CHP is very easy to maintain. Service is only due every 4,000 hours or once per year. It includes only the change of oil, oil and air filters, spark plug, ignition cable and the emission adjustment.

Further Developments
The actual micro-CHP in its natural- and propane gas versions represent the basic model in a whole product range. Further developments will include stand-alone operation and emergency power capability as well as a diesel engine. Finally the use of renewable energy is also planned such as vegetable oil or biogas.

PC Software for the Micro-CHP
Customers profit from the clearly structured build up of the man machine interface (MMI). All settings can be done by one rotary/push button. Even more comfortable settings may be achieved by using the PC software "EcoHome".

Ecopower CHP ECOSERV USER INTERFACE
For maintenance of the Micro-CHP, we have developed the software EcoServ. The powerful PC software allows to do all the settings for the engine, the control unit and the heating.
 
Ecopower CHP ECOHOME USER INTERFACE
For owners of an Ecopower Micro-CHP, we offer the PC software "EcoHome". The serial diagnostic interface allows you to connect your Micro-CHP to a computer or a notebook and change all the settings comfortably from your PC.

Furthermore, you get access to the CHP internal datalogger which contains all important production data over a period of one week.
